'Twas me that posted the latest photo. I think the year was 1973. It was of the graduating class of 1974. The photo was used on the cover of the school magazine.

Only just discovered this site. Thought you might be interested to know that the 'class of '71' had a very successful reunion in 2003 (when all of us reached 50!)- we managed to find virtually everybody from our year which was a shock, and two thirds of them managed to turn up - seem to remember still being in the bar of the Tower House Hotel in Sowerby Bridge until 4.30 in the morning. So there are still some of us out there!

Fascinating to see how the spammers will latch on to anything that's going. Looks I've got rid of them for now but no doubt they'll be back soon with the next scam. If they would only use their brain power for something useful just think what a wonderful world...

I hope you don't mind the intrusion to your wonderful website. I came across while having a nostalgic moment at work. I attended SBGS from 1967 to 1974, so I don't recognize most of you. Although I did date Rob Walsh's sister Ann and I confess to listening to most of Rob record collection . Cream, Captain Beefheart Crosby Still Nash and Young etc. You had excellent taste in music Rob. Now I think I remeber that David Patterson had a younger brother Ian, who I used to hang with. On the 1968 graduation pamphlet I would have been in 1W .. yes Mr Whiteley. I have some sordid stories about him too. Well a great site. I have some old photos that I may post from around the 1971 era.

Quite a shock to stumble across your site by complete accident. Even bigger shock to find my name in the 1969 speech day programme. Rest assured that SBGS is represented here in South Yorkshire by my good self and dear lady wife, Marion Crossley as was. If I ever put any of you in detention than I am truly sorry, but you probably deserved it. I never dreamed that singing 40 years on, would actually happen, but... well almost.

I was a student of SBGS until 1966. My husband Martyn left SBGS in 1968. I have lived in Australia since 1968 and would love to hear from any of my old school friends from SBGS

I was at SBGS in the 50's and most surprised to see a web site - well done. I remember SBGS very well, although I must say I was something of a rebellious student, who they gave up on. Well I am now a teacher myself and I must say that in spite of everything I remember the school with affection.
