Following my email with the panoramic photo of the 5th form of 1977, I have just uploaded pictures of our reunion which took place on 21/9/01.There is one photo of the boys, one of the girls and one of the staff. The venue was not large enough to re-create the 1977 picutre in it's entitrity

I tried to upload the picture of the 1977 5th form in 1200 resolution. The file was too big. I have today resent it in 600 resolution but I was unable to tell if the file completely uploaded. Please advise.

I do vist the site from time to time, it's always good to wonder down Memory Lane. Sorry to hear about Peter Brooks, I always remember his terific enthusiasm, even though my artistic skills bordered on the non existant!

Sorry to see there is no panorama from 1960, though I still have mine framed on the wall in the study. 1960 was of course the Golden Jubilee year, it's dissapointing that there seems to be no plans to celebrate the centenary of the school. Or maybe there are, and I just don't know about them. If anyone has any news about plans, well, I for one would be happy to make the trip from Hampshire.

Hi David. Have no news of any plans of any celebration but will add them to the site if anything comes to light. As regards the 1960 panoramic, no-one has sent me one to scan as yet.

Re: 1951 Play pic from 'The Admirable Crichton' Post ship-wreck scene: Standing from left, Derek Roper, Peter Coles, Alan Daughtery; sitting Isabel? looking up, against Jim Aspin.
Drawing-room scene: From left, Enid Whitaker, Peter Coles, George Brown, Isabel? Alan Daughtery.
Derek Roper and Alan Daughtery, who was tall, were accounted the school's best actors at the time. Derek Roper had a very good singing voice.

Just had another scan along the 1967 Panoramic - I believe that 66 is Andrew Wilkinson. 316 is called Rouse but I can't remember his first name, even though we did History together with Mrs. Chapman. I think 319 is a Wilson, but again I'm not sure of a first name - could be Paul or Peter. All three came to SBGS quite late, probably after "o" levels at other schools.
On the 1961 Essoldo girls picture I'm pretty sure 20 is Jean McGregor.
Keep up the good work.

Cheers Jim as always. The Rouse you mentioned I have as R J if you can fill in the name and also the Wilson is definitely a P, although Paul or Peter I can't confirm yet. All photos now updated,

Thanks for this. I've added it to the 1940s section but the full size version is quite blurred so it's difficult to make out the faces. Do you have a copy scanned at a higher resolution please?

Anyone else thought that the current weather is a fitting tribute to Peter Brook. It's like all of his finest paintings in a massive gallery.I took my dog for a walk through Callis Wood near home a couple of days ago and was moved to tears by the beauty of it all, then came home to see it all again in the prints of Peter's work. Priceless
